As Principal of Kemo Sabe and Vice President of Orthopaedics at UNYQ, Lisa is an entrepreneur, business innovator and venture philanthropist who is passionate about reducing preventable harm and accelerating the commercialization of new medical technologies. Clients include UNYQ 3D printed custom orthopaedic and prosthetic devices and Novartis Neuroscience. Previously serving as CEO for Combat Medical, General Manager, Biomet Bracing, Vice President, Orthopaedics and General Manager, Spine at Ossur, she has been awarded 19 patents and has published research in Spine and The Journal of Neurosurgery. Lisa earned her Bachelor’s in Bioengineering from Lehigh University, and a Master’s in the Management of Technology from the School of Engineering and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Scott Pope, In Scope Ventures

Dr. Scott D. Pope, PharmD founded In Scope Ventures in 2017 with a deep passion for helping great people create the change they wish to see in the healthcare world.

Scott is an accomplished healthcare executive and intrapreneur with extensive experience starting and rapidly growing healthcare solutions into complex markets. Over the last decade he has worked with healthcare companies ranging from publicly traded to bootstrapped start-ups. His leadership skills span a wide range including go-to-market strategy, business development, and launch for technologies, consulting, and emerging intellectual property.

Prior to exiting clinical practice, Dr. Pope was the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist of infectious diseases at Atrium Health, formerly Carolinas Healthcare System. In this role he spearheaded formulary decisions on antimicrobial agents and was responsible for operationalizing new formulary changes for the large, multi-hospital system. Scott earned his PharmD degree and a minor in business administration from Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. He completed a general practice residency at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital and specialty residency in infectious diseases/internal medicine/academia through Campbell University at Duke University Medical Center. He resides in Charlotte with his wife of 16+ years and their two strong-willed, energetic daughters.
